How we calculate the saving
We take what you spend on petrol each month now, then what you'd spend after converting: gas for most of the distance, a little petrol for starting or when no gas station is near, plus any extra upkeep of the gas kit. The difference is your monthly saving. Dividing the conversion cost by that saving gives the months to pay it back. We assume one cubic metre of gas covers about the same distance as one litre of petrol; you can change this in the advanced options.
Is a CNG conversion right for you?
Pros
- Fuel cost per km is usually much lower
- Pays back faster the more you drive (taxi, delivery, long commutes)
- You can still drive on petrol when needed
Cons
- The conversion is paid up front
- The cylinder takes boot space
- Gas stations are fewer than petrol stations in some areas
- The gas kit needs regular checks and upkeep
- Not every car is suitable; ask a licensed centre about yours
This page isn't technical advice for your car and doesn't recommend any conversion centre.

Converting delivery, taxi and company cars to CNG
The more km a car does each month, the faster a conversion pays back. That's why delivery companies, taxi owners and people running cars on ride-hailing apps look at CNG first. Don't convert the whole fleet at once:
In Sayarti+ Business the driver logs petrol and CNG fill-ups in their own units, and you see each car's monthly cost.
For owners running cars on ride-hailingSayarti+ Business for delivery companies
- Work it out per car, with its real monthly distance, not the average.
- Start with the highest-km cars, and compare cost per km before and after for two months.
- Log the CNG kit service every 10,000 km or 6 months; skipping it eats the savings.
FAQ
FAQ
How much will I save by converting to CNG?
It depends on your monthly distance, your car's consumption and the price gap between a litre of petrol and a cubic metre of gas. Enter your numbers above to see it in pounds.
How many months until the conversion pays back?
Divide the conversion cost by the monthly saving. A car that drives a lot, like a taxi, pays back much faster than one that drives little.
Does one m³ of gas equal one litre of petrol?
Roughly, in distance covered; it varies a little by car, which is why you can edit gas consumption in the advanced options.
Are the fuel prices up to date?
We show the latest price we have, with its date and source, and you can edit it.
Does the CNG kit need maintenance?
Yes: periodic checks and gas filter changes, roughly every 10,000 km or 6 months depending on the centre. Add it under “extra upkeep” for a more accurate result.
Is Sayarti+ linked to the government or a gas company?
No. Sayarti+ is an independent app, not affiliated with any government entity or conversion company.
Is it worth converting a delivery company's cars to CNG?
Usually for the cars with high monthly distances. Run each car through the calculator with its real distance, and start with the highest-km ones.
