- We don't sell your data.
- Backup, export and deletion are free at any time.
Not affiliated with any government entity, and we don't connect to any government system.
Who we are
Sayarti+ (سيارتي+) is an app published by HashStudio, the developer name on Google Play. For privacy questions write to privacy@sayartiplus.com; for general help, write to support@sayartiplus.com.
Data on your phone (free, no account)
The app keeps the following on your phone: your cars (make, model and year, nickname, the plate if you add it, fuel type and odometer), fill-ups, services, expenses, the fines you type in, car loan details (payment, remaining balance, due day, and the lender's name if you type it), reminders, and the photos you attach (receipts and documents). This data stays on your phone and is included in your backups and exports.
Backups you control
You save the backup file wherever you choose. A manual backup to Google Drive or iCloud goes to your own account with that service and does not reach us. Before an import or restore, the app keeps a copy of your data on your phone; we do not upload these files to our servers.
Pro account and sync (optional)
You sign in with Google, Apple or a code sent to your email. Synced data is stored for your account on our servers in the United States, including the photos you attach (receipts, documents and the car photo). All of it is encrypted in transit, and access to the servers is limited to our team. A car you share is visible only to the people you invite. In Sayarti+ Business, drivers' receipt photos are uploaded to the company account so the owner and managers can see them.
Sayarti+ Business
When a company is created, we keep its name, country and currency, its members and their roles (owner, manager, driver), the cars assigned to each driver, and the name of whoever logged each entry. Owners and managers see the company's cars and reports; a driver sees only the cars assigned to them. Your personal data is never mixed with the company's. When a member is removed, their access stops at once and their past entries stay in the company record. If the subscription lapses, company data stays read-only and exportable for 90 days, and we warn you 14 days before deleting it. We do not track location.
Purchases
Payment goes through Google Play or the App Store, and we learn your subscription status through RevenueCat. We never see your card details.
Ads (free plan)
The free version shows Google AdMob ads, which may use your device's advertising ID. Personalised ads appear only with your consent where the law or the store rules require it. There are no ads on data-entry screens and no ads in Pro.
Fuel prices and country settings
The app downloads the published fuel prices and your country's ready-made deadlines from our server. The only information the app adds to that request is your country code, and no account is needed; like any internet request, it also carries the technical details needed to deliver the answer, such as your IP address. Our website shows the same prices without asking you for any data.
Analytics and crash reports
We use no analytics tools in the app or on the website. We use Firebase Crashlytics from Google for crash reports only: technical information about the crash and the device, never the content of your car records.
Permissions
The app asks for camera and photo access only when you attach a photo or scan a document, and for notifications only to send your reminders. It never asks for your location.
Document scan (first scan free, then Pro or Business)
When you photograph a document (registration, licence or insurance) so the app can read its expiry date:
- Documents whose dates are written in Latin digits are read by your phone itself, and the photo is sent to no one.
- If the phone cannot read the date (for example, dates in Arabic-Indic digits or in the Hijri calendar), the photo is sent to our server, which shrinks it and strips its metadata, then sends it to an AI provider (OpenAI; we may use Anthropic as an alternative) only to read the dates. This needs an internet connection.
- We do not ask the provider to read the name, ID number or plate number, and we drop anything in the result that is not a date. We do not keep the photo on our servers; it is deleted from memory as soon as the reading ends. We send the request through the provider's API with storage turned off where offered. API data is not used to train the provider's models, and the provider may keep requests for a limited time to monitor abuse under its terms (OpenAI data policy: https://platform.openai.com/docs/guides/your-data; Anthropic privacy center: https://privacy.anthropic.com/).
- The app shows you the date to confirm or correct before saving, and we keep only the dates you confirm.
- For each scan we log one line for counting and cost only (no image, no date and nothing that identifies you) and delete it after 13 months.
Service providers
We use these providers to run the service and share with them only what they need to do their job:
- Hosting: Vultr, with servers in the United States, for the account, sync, photos and Sayarti+ Business; the website runs on a shared web hosting provider.
- Sign-in: Google and Apple. Sign-in codes by email are sent from our own mailbox, support@sayartiplus.com, through our website host's mail server, with no outside email service.
- Purchases: Google Play and the App Store, and RevenueCat for subscription status.
- Document scan: OpenAI, and Anthropic as an alternative when enabled, to read dates only (item 11).
- Ads in the free version: Google AdMob.
- Crash reports: Firebase Crashlytics from Google. No analytics tools.
- Exchange rates on the website: ExchangeRate-API (no personal data is sent to it).
What we never do
We never store ID, Iqama or licence numbers. We never connect to government systems or pull data from them. We never sell your data.
Retention and deletion
Data on your phone stays until you delete it or delete the app. Account data and photo files on our servers are deleted as soon as you ask (at /delete-account/), and they leave our database backups within 14 days. Anonymous purchase records are kept for 5 years for refunds and tax.
Your rights
You can see and export your data (CSV from the app), correct it and delete it. We follow the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law and Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law, and the GDPR for users in the European Union.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
We tell you inside the app about any material change to this policy before it takes effect.
